For you "history buffs" out there, the Historical Association of South Haven hosts events and shares a wealth of information about South Haven as a resort community. There are plenty of resources for tours, locations, and information.
The Kal-Haven Trail is a 33.5 mile long linear multi-use trail that links Kalamazoo to South Haven. The route was originally a railroad completed in 1870. The railroad bed has been converted to a trail with a limestone/slag surface. It is usable for all non-motorized bicycles, hiking, and snowmobiling (when there is a 4-inch snow base).

From May 26 - September 1, each Thursday evening at 7pm South Haven’s Riverfront Park will host a variety of free musical performances including: jazz, classical, folk, and contemporary. The performances are next to the South Side Municipal Marina with seating along a gently sloping grassy hill.
The market is located under the pavilion in the Huron Street parking lot behind the post office in downtown South Haven (546 Phoenix Street). 16The Market is open every Saturday from May 16th - October, from 8am-2pm and Wednesdays in in June, July, and August from 8am-2pm. No pets allowed under the pavilion during the Farm Market.
